Royalton Blue Waters Review: Not What We Expected
I arrived yesterday with high hopes, but ever since landing, my enthusiasm has taken a nosedive.
Bold energy on arrival slowly faded.
Our summer escape quickly turned into a disappointment at Royalton Blue Waters. The check-in felt mechanical and impersonal—the assistant’s answers were robotic, as if reading from a script without warmth or efficiency.
Dinner was equally underwhelming. While the food wasn't inedible, it was bland and uninspired, good only for filling space—I'd rate it a 7 out of 10. At one point, they even ran out of towels, which felt unacceptable in a resort of this standing.
"Dinner felt more like a bare minimum experience."
The staff on the floor, though, deserve credit. Waiters, bartenders, and attendants were courteous and service-minded they were a bright spot in an otherwise lacking experience.
Service Area Rating
Food 7/10 Check‑in Process Poor Overall Hospitality 7/10
In its current state, Royalton Blue Waters falls short of expectations. Administrative inefficiencies and basic operational issues dampened what should have been a memorable stay. If those weak areas were addressed, I might consider returning.
Would I recommend this resort? Not at the moment—at least not until improvements are made.
Before You Go ✦ If customer experience is your priority, look elsewhere unless you hear they've tightened up front-desk logistics and upgraded dining service.
